Reflecting egret

I began photographing casually in my late 30s, and discovered I really enjoyed taking photographs as well as the result.  My husband, saw talent in me and encouraged me by buying me a SLR film camera in 2000.  Over time, I worked to improve both my artistic vision and my technical skills; and find that this is a never ending but enjoyable process.  My work is eclectic, and includes travel photography, architecture, people, landscapes, and wildlife.

I now use a digital SLR (Nikon D200) for my photography and I print my own photographs.  My photographs are in private and corporate collections and have been published in several magazines including the Smithsonian Magazine and the cover of the Journal of the American Planning Association.

I have a studio location in the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria Virginia, Studio 14. The Torpedo Factory is located at 105 North Union Street on the waterfront in Old Town.   Kathy also lives in Alexandria with her husband Gregory.

All my photographs are available
in a range of sizes.
