The Kingstowne Area Artists Association has now reformed and has been renamed “The Kingstowne Area Artists.” This new incarnation of the original group retains most of its founding and longtime members. The organization dropped its association status to better accommodate a less structured format. The elimination of bylaws and cumbersome procedures allows the members to better realize its founding mission for the group. Our mission is to be an integral part of our community, to increase public access to the visual arts, and promote the importance of the arts in the Kingstowne Area.  The new group structure would also allow the members to spend more quality time with fellow artists in a truly affirming creative partnership. This has always been our true goal.
      Community outreach and involvement in local art awareness continues to be a key element in the KAA group effort.  Art shows, sales, and community partnerships remain in place in this new group structure. Creative art activities, paint-outs, guest presenters and friendly social gatherings will be regular events.
      Membership is limited to contain the vision and direction of the current body. New members are admitted by invitation of two or more active members of the group. These new candidates will have demonstrated a willingness to comply with the current standards and practices of this, now social, art group.
